EQUIPMENT
Frag The frag grenade is the basic hand grenade, designed to shred its target with a blast of flying shrapnel.
Smoke The smoke grenade releases a cloud of gray smoke that cloaks movement; it is a perfect opportunity to use thermal goggles.
Flashbang The flashbang produces a blinding flash and deafening bang to confuse and disorient a target without causing serious injury. This gadget is best used when assaulting a room containing hostages.
Breaching Charges Breaching charges are explosive devices that can be used against doors. A charge will effectively destroy a door and kill anyone standing right behind it. Ensure that no hostages are in its deadly radius before deploying this weapon.
C4 C4 is an explosive known for its durability and stability. It will not explode even if struck, cut, or exposed to fire. It only detonates with the use of a remote detonator.
Tear Gas (Multiplayer only) Tear gas grenades create clouds of irritants to direct the flow of combat. A single grenade releases a large cloud of CS tear gas, which irritates the eyes and respiratory system of anyone caught within its area of effect. Gas masks counter the tear gas cloud
Incendiary Incendiary grenades produce intense heat by means of a chemical reaction. A single lit particle can burn through skin, muscle, and even bone.

Broken Toy
Age: 23 Hometown: Savannah, GA
Ellis is a mechanic with a love of life, a firm belief in his own immortality, and the ability to treat any setback as a fun dare to impress his friends. Born and raised in Savannah, Ellis divvies up his time working at the local garage, hanging out with his buddies, and dropping by for Sunday dinners with Mom—why’d anybody want to live anywhere else?
Then the zombies had to go and spoil it. Now Ellis is looking for new things to occupy his time, and finding plenty. It turns out the zombie apocalypse is one big dare, and there’s no shortage of crazy stuff he can try to impress his new buddies. |
Highly explosive shells from this weapon are guaranteed to blast infected to pieces within a tight radius, and stagger any infected immediately outside of that radius. It takes a while to reload, so make your shots count.
Ready to shred some infected? This six-string melee weapon will let you make beautiful music on any nearby zombie skulls you happen to connect with.
Bring teammates back from the dead. Like the First Aid Kit, a Defibrillator Unit is a one-time use item. Defibs can resuscitate fallen teammates, and take three seconds to use.

Left 4 dead 2 Survivors - Coach

Age: 44 Hometown: Savannah, GA
Coach has a big heart, a healthy appetite, and a wicked swing with a chainsaw. After a knee injury ended his career as a defensive lineman in college, Coach salvaged his Physical Education degree (barely) and landed a job teaching health at the local high school in his hometown of Savannah.
Working as a defensive coordinator for the freshmen team might not have been the best path to a pro coaching career; but it’s come in pretty handy in guiding a group of Survivors to safety. Coach has watched his beloved hometown get ravaged by infected—now it’s time to deliver his own brand of Southern hospitality. |
| Similar in firepower to the M-16, the Desert Rifle boasts a three-round burst from a single pull of the trigger. Sustained bursts make for a more accurate spread of fire than the M-16, with improved ammo conservation. |
Give the infected a taste of their own medicine with this CEDA-developed gastrointestinal projectile. Any zombie you soak with this puke grenade will be swarmed by common infected. |
Realize every zombie killer’s dream with the ultimate in gore-splattering destruction. But the fun won’t last forever—once the gas gauge hits E, it’s useless.

Left 4 dead 2 Survivors - Rochelle

Broken Toy
Age: 29 Hometown: Cleveland, OH
As a low-level associate producer for a big-name news station, Rochelle's job mostly consisted of lugging cables and fetching coffee. But when the outbreak hit and staff started calling in sick, Rochelle got her break: producing a segment from Savannah about the evacuation center located there. She was still setting up the cameras when her big story became a war zone.
But that doesn't mean she's letting go of her dream job yet. Surviving a zombie apocalypse is just something else she can use her wits and drive to produce the hell out of. |
| Great for clearing out crowds of infected, this handy lumberjack-approved melee weapon will have you stacking up the zombies like cordwood. |
What this Soviet-made assault rifle lacks in accuracy, it makes up for in firepower. You can squeeze off these higher caliber rounds in single shots for ammo conservation, or room-clear with fully automatic fire.
| Equip your existing primary weapon with these incendiary rounds to ignite any infected upon contact. The next best thing to a Molotov against an angry Tank. |

Left 4 dead 2 Survivors - Nick

Age: 35 Hometown: Unknown
A lifetime of drifting from city to city, finding back-alley card games and trying to stay out of jail has taught Nick two valuable lessons: Don’t trust anyone, and look out for number one.
He’d come down to Savannah looking for some gullible fish on the riverboat gambling cruise circuit. Instead he found a city about to be engulfed by infection. Now he finds himself forced together with three complete strangers in a fragile alliance that goes against every instinct he lives by. But he’s going to have to learn to trust them if he wants to survive. |
| A modified assault rifle, the Sniper Rifle is a dependable weapon when mobile, and absolutely deadly when stationary. Use the scope for pinpoint accuracy, even from great distances |
| An adrenaline shot gives you a fifteen-second health and energy boost that lets you run faster, use items in half the time, and run through zombies without getting slowed down by their attacks. |
An alternative to a melee weapon or pistol, the Magnum holds eight massive half-inch rounds guaranteed to leave a hole the size of a dinner plate. When incapacitated, this powerful handgun will put down any swarming common infected with a single shot. |
